Executive Chef Danio Somoza used his culinary skills to hand-craft and perfect the menu

Danio Somoza moved to the United States from El Salvador in the hopes of working with his hands.

He intended to rack up long hours as a mechanic, happily coming home every night covered in oil and grease.

Along the way, however, Somoza discovered a new passion. A passion that still sends him home dirty, but this time, it’s from sauce splatters and butter.

“I still ended up working with my hands,” he said, smiling.

The 30-year-old is the executive chef at 99 Sea Level in Bethany Beach, an upscale restaurant within the new Marriott Bethany Beach Ocean Suites, located on the boardwalk and Hollywood Street.
